Employment lawsuits are incredibly unique.  Many types of law such as personal injury and transactional work involves (in most cases) very little litigation and a lot of administrative work that can be performed by non-lawyers.  99% of employment cases involve litigation in one form or another.  That is why hiring someone who specializes in employment law (and not a jack of all trades) is so important to protect your rights.  Make sure that when you are hiring a lawyer to help you with an issue in the workplace, that lawyer has proven results and experience.  Too many firms these days advertise on the web and on television just to get cases—even if they do not know how to handle them.  Do you really want your lawyer to learn how to handle this area of the law while working on your case?
